Stout, pale green globes with vivid shoots, the kohlrabi is part of the cabbage family and combines the crunch of a radish with the flavour of a mild turnip. Fantastically versatile, it makes a crisp addition to coleslaws and stir fries, while the leaves can be cooked like cabbage. Ours have large bulbs, thick stems and strong leaves.
