100% Ibérico Acorn-fed Ham “Pata Negra” is a piece of elongated and stylized shank with golden and fluid fat on the outside and pink on the inside. It comes from animals fed in their last stage of growth on acorns, pasture and other natural resources. With more than 60 years dedicated to the breeding 100% pure-bred Iberico pigs, Beher combine craftsmanship, tradition experience and innovation, to ensure that all of their products meet the highest standards of excellence and quality. The pigs forage free-range on the oak groves – known as dehesas – of Extremadura in south-west Spain. Feeding on acorns and pasture, it is this combination of diet, ancestry and their semi-wild existence that gives the meat its characteristic nutty flavour and melt-in-the-mouth texture.
